Gisele MacKenzie - Christmas With Gisele

You're going to read the following a lot on the blog this month. This is one of my favorite Christmas records. You'll hear me repeat this phrase over and over because it is true. I have a lot of Christmas records and I've selected the cream of the crop to share with everyone. So I ask your forgiveness in advance.

I love this record because first of all, Giselle has a beautiful voice. Second I love that she sings in French and English. It is great to have some other languages in your Christmas music playlists. Also the language just sounds beautiful which works for the holiday spirit. And thirdly there are some really fun songs on here. I have lots of favorites, but the two tied for first place are "Les Anges Dans Nos Compagnes" and "Too Fat For The Chimney". The first one has the great French I was mentioning and the other is just a fun song that you don't hear too often. It really gets you clapping along.

Enjoy!

This ROCKS!!! I am so excited to have this album, and can't wait to share it with my father. He used to play this album for me and my brother when we were very small, during holiday car rides to our grandparents' house. Thank you so much for providing this digital format! I have been searching for this album, as the cassette tape that my father made had warped long ago from playing so much. I had no luck finding it, and am thrilled. I agree with you that Gisele has a beautiful voice and makes the holidays feel very festive.

Thank you for sharing this Chrismas album by Gisele MacKenzie with us. I have been searching for a copy after learning that my parents had misplaced it during a move years ago. I can now share these wonderful songs with my children and grandchildren. I have enjoyed these songs since I was 5 years old and that is over 50 years ago.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful Christmas album with us. I have been searching for it for years, after my parents misplaced it in a move, so that I could share it with my children and grandchildren. You have made that possible. I remember listening to Gisele MacKenzie from the age of 5, that is over 50 years ago. I still consider her Christmas album my favorite.

This is the best. I used to listen to this every Christmas on a record. I actually purchased it on Ebay a few years ago but who has a record player in 2010! Thank you so much

Thank you! This is my mother's absolute favorite and she will be thrilled when I put it on the stereo by surprise this Xmas.

(Track #11 is not working, FYI)

Best Christmas album ever and it's a crime that it has not saturated radio airwaves (at least the engish songs!) for last 60 years during holiday season. I am a bit prejudiced because this record was played every Christmas in our house, skips and all. That said I think you would be hard pressed to find a singer with a more beautiful voice in any decade.

Thank you so much for sharing. This is my all-time favorite Christmas album, and I am excited to be able to take it on the road with me by using my iPod this holiday season. Some of the pops and hisses are in different places from my vinyl copy that I bring out every year, but that means my beat up ol' album will still be unique when I play it on my turntable in the house. Playing "He's Too Fat for the Chimney" in my car before walking into a mall's food court will be a great inspiration. :) Thanks again. I'm SOOOO HAPPY to have this in a digital format. :)
